State Senator Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) released the following statements in response to the Senate passing an abortion expansion bill this evening:

“Illinois already has the most aggressive pro-abortion laws in the entire nation. The legislators of our state have gone far beyond protecting the ability to get an abortion. They have now moved on to pushing for the passage of the extreme of the extremes as quickly as possible.

“House Bill 4664 unfairly provides individuals who take the life of an innocent unborn child with protection from medical liability that doesn’t exist for doctors who would help bring that new life into our world.”
