The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) has announced the opening of the application period for the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Law Enforcement
Camera Grant, designed to equip police agencies in Illinois with essential video technology.
ILETSB is providing over $56 million in state funding to support law enforcement agencies with equipment, training, and resources for evidence collection.
Funds can be awarded for:
– Officer-worn body camera technology
– In-car cameras for law enforcement vehicles
– Data storage and associated program licensing
– Law-enforcement personnel training
Applications are due by Wednesday, December 31, at 5 p.m. Eligible agencies are encouraged to review the full Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) documents and submit applications through the AmpliFund portal before the deadline.
Grant awards of up to $3 million per applicant are available, offering flexible funding options such as reimbursements, advance payments, and working capital advances. The program also allows for pre-award cost coverage dating back to July 1, 2025.
